Four things to stop doing on Facebook

  1. Sharing / liking / commenting on stupid photos. Anything that was made for Tumblr (pretty much any Instagrammed picture with words on top of it) belongs on Tumblr only. Remember all those pages you liked back when liking things was cool? Anything those pages post is spammy and something that will annoy everyone in your friends list to no end.
  2. Posting statuses about how tired you are of hearing about something. Saying that you're sick of hearing about Chick-fil-A isn't going to actually stop anyone from posting what they want to post, so it's actually just adding to the amount of statuses about it. I swear, I think I saw about the same amount of statuses along the lines of, "Ugh, stop posting stuff about Chick-fil-A, it's so annoying" as I saw from people who actually cared one way or the other.
  3. Saying how tired you are of Facebook and how you like (insert other social media website here) better. Nobody cares that you like Twitter better than Facebook. Just stop using Facebook if you hate it so much!
  4. Getting mad about Olympic spoilers. We live in a real-time world now. Unfortunately, NBC hasn't caught on to that yet, but that doesn't mean everyone should have to censor themselves for your benefit. If you feel that strongly about not seeing the results, stay off social media sites. And especially don't comment on people's excited statuses saying, "Aw man, you ruined it for me!" No. Other people don't exist to cater to you. It's your responsibility to avoid spoilers, not the other way around.
