Here's a dollar. That's enough, right?

This was at Steak 'n Shake. This person left a tip of ONE DOLLAR.


Like, yeah. Your total at Steak 'n Shake is probably around $5, so $1 would be 20%. (Though I doubt your total is actually right at $5.) But either way, does your conscience really feel clear leaving your waitress $1 after you've been sitting at her table for 30 minutes?

And the worst part about this is I see people leave $1 tips at Steak 'n Shake all the time. I don't know why that's a thing, but it apparently is, and I don't like it.

  1. I've always thought it was unfair to base your tip on how cheap or expensive the food is at a restaurant. A waiter/waitress can be working just as hard no matter what the cost of the food was.
