Every year, around back to school time, Old Navy has a huge, gigantic, ridiculous uniform sale, usually to the tune of $5 polos and $10 khakis.
The thing is, the sale goes on for like four weeks.
So at the beginning of the sale, we have every size and every color you could possibly need. But toward the middle, we start to absolutely run out. Like sometimes we literally have nothing until our next shipment.
But as long as you come about a month before school starts, you shouldn't have any problem getting what you need.
I don't want to get into all the reasons why people might be shopping late. I get that the school may not have told you what your kids needed early enough. I get that maybe you didn't have the money a month ago.
Here's what I don't get.
School was supposed to start on Monday here, but power outages due to some crazy storm delayed it. So students haven't gone to school yet, even though they were planning on going Monday.
So why were parents in the store TODAY scrambling to get uniforms for their children?
What would you have done if there had been school on Monday as planned?
And here's my biggest thing. If you have waited this long, you don't get to be picky. You just have to suck it up and go somewhere more expensive because your kids need uniforms to go to school!
It's not like they're optional, because then they wouldn't be uniforms.
