Yesterday, I was checking a mother and daughter out at Old Navy.
The daughter was looking at the stuff on the counter about the Old Navy card. She said, "Hey Mom, do you have one of these?"
"No, no I don't."
"You should get one, you can save 10 percent."
First of all, cool, thanks for doing my job for me. (Really though, because I've gotten people to sign up for the card this way before.)
They had been talking quietly, so I kind of pretended I hadn't heard them and asked, "Do you have an Old Navy card with us?"
"Yeah, I do and I don't want to use it today."
Okay, don't lie, I heard you. Just tell me you don't want one.
